BUK Admission requirements for 2025/2026 Academic Session

Unified Tetiary Matriculation Examination Admission Requirements

To secure admission into the Bayero University Kano , you need to have the following requirements:

All Prospective candidates must have obtained a minimum of Five 5 credits in O’Level results (NECO, WAEC, or NABTED) and must includes Mathematics I and English in not more two (2) settings.
Prospective candidates must have the Bayero University Kano as their first choice of admission.
Prospective candidates must sat for Unified Tetiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum cut off mark of 180 or higher in the relevant subjects.
Prospective candidates must have participate in Post UTME conducted by the university and scored a minimum points.

Direct Entry (DE) Admission Requirements

All direct entry candidates must have chose the university as their first choice of admission.
Direct Entry (DE) candidates must have participate in Post DE Aptitude Test conducted by the university and scored a minimum points.
Direct Entry (DE) candidates must have obtained a minimum of Five 5 credits in O’Level results (NECO, WAEC, or NABTED) and must includes Mathematics I and English in not more two (2) settings.
Direct Entry (DE) must have possess any one of the following qualifications; ND, NCE, IJMB or any equivalent qualifications.

BUK Post UTME/DE Application Procedure

Post UTME Application Procedure

Step 1: Visit the Bayero University admission website at www.buk.edu.ng at the homepage, click on Post UTME Application Portal.

Step 2: Log in to your profile using your JAMB Number, then your need to upload a recent passport photograph.

Step 3: Fill out the Applicants Particular Form, make sure that all the details are correct and accurate.

Step 4: Print out your Payment Invoice generated and proceed with invoice to any commercial bank to make payment of two thousand five hundred Naira only (N2,500).

Step 5: After payment is successfully made, return to the university website, log in to your profile again.Once payment is successfully made. Your payment will be validated, you can print out your personal Examination Slip.

Please note, no applicant will be allowed to participate in the Post UTME/DE aptitude test without a valid Examination Slip.

Direct Entry (DE) Screening Application Procedure

Step 1: Visit the university admission website at www.buk.edu.ng at the homepage, click on Post UTME Application Portal.

Step 2: Log in to your profile using your JAMB Number, then your need to upload a recent passport photograph.

Step 3: Fill the Applicants Particular Form, make sure that all the details are correct and accurate.

Step 4: Print out your Payment Invoice generated and proceed with invoice to any commercial bank to make payment of two thousand five hundred Naira only (N2,500).

Step 6: Print out your Acknowledgement Slip and keep it reference.

Please note, only applicant successful registered/screened online considered for Direct Entry (DE) admission.
