JAMB 2026 UTME Registration Guidelines
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to begins 2026 Unified Tetiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration on January 31th, 2026. The board outlined the guidelines for the 2026 UTME registration.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the registration date for the 2026 UTME registration. JAMB announced that the 2026 UTME registration will commence Monday January 31th, 2026 and ends on Saturday March 8th, 2026.
The Direct Entry registration will commence after the closing of the UTME registration. The direct entry registration to start from Monday March 10th, 2026 and to Monday April 17th, 2026.
Interested candidates wishes to write 2026 UTME Examination should get prepared before the commencement of the 2026 registration. Candidates are strongly advised to check 2026 JAMB requirements and guidelines before start registration. The Requirements such includes O’Level and A’Level results, Subjects Combination and approved CBT centres.
JAMB advised interested candidates to ensure their details on the National Identity Management Commission portal matched the details on their academic records. Candidates with mismatched data could not successful registration.

Registration Date: Monday 31th January, 2026 to Saturday March 8th, 2026
Registration Close: Saturday 8th March, 2026
Mock Exam Slip Reprinting Date: Saturday 5th April, 2026
Mock Exam Date: Friday 10th April, 2026
Exam Slip Reprinting Date: Saturday 18th April, 2026
Exam Dates: Saturday 25th April to Tuesday 5th May, 2026
Result Release Date: Thursday 7th May, 2026
Requirements for JAMB 2026 Registration
Interested Candidates are required to have the following requirements for 2026 registration:
- Recent Passport photography with while or red background
- Personal information
- O’Level and A’Level Results
- Active National Identification Number 11 Digits
- Active Phone Number and Email Address
- JAMB profile Code Generated
- JAMB e-PIN
- JAMB Number for Direct Entry
- Age of not less than 16 years

JAMB 2026 UTME Registration Procedures
Step 1: Generate Profile Code: Candidates should follows the procedures below to generate profile code for the 2026 UTME registration:
- Validate NIN: Candidates should ensure that their NIN is active and validation. O’Level and A’Level results must matches with the candidates NIMC details.
- Message NIN: Candidates should send NIN using the following format: NIN leave same and follow by 11 digits of your NIN Number to 55019 or 66019 (eg. NIN 555846558985 to 55019 or 66019). Once the profile code is successfully generated it cannot be edited and your NIMC details is automatically captured.
Step 2: JAMB Registration: Candidates should visit any closes JAMB office or any approved JAMB Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre to start your JAMB registration.
Step 3: Purchase JAMB e-PIN: Candidates should proceed to purchase JAMB e-PIN from banks or any authorized online platforms or vendors.
Step 4: Complete Registration: Candidates should given the correct and accurate JAMB registration template to complete it.
Step 5: Final Submission: Candidates should double check their details and make ensure that all entries are correct and accurate before submission of application at the JAMB office or approved CBT Centre.

Interested Candidates wishes to write 2026 UTME Examination show read the following key important tips:
1. NIN Modification: Candidates should ensure make all necessary corrections on NIN with NIMC earlier and confirm that the modifications have been updated on the NIMC portal. Make sure they your NIN is validate the following details:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- State of Origin
2. Active Phone Number and Email: Candidates should ensure that their phone numbers and emails address are active and unique before start registration. Phone Number and Email address must be functional before start registration. Candidates should not use a previous email address and phone number to register 2026 UTME.
3. Biometric Issues: Candidates who have biometric issues during the registration are strongly advised visit the closest JAMB registration Office. Candidates should not allow any JAMB approved Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre to register you with biometric issues.
4. Screen Displays: Candidates should that a dual screen is used during the JAMB registration. Dual screen enables to indentifies errors/mistakes before submission of the registration and also enable you to confirm your passport and biometrics are captured correctly.
