The Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) accepting a grant applications from interested and suitably qualified Nigerian individuals and organizations for the Youth Leadership Development Fund 2026 grant program. This NYFF grant program is aims to strengthen, support and promote youth ecosystem building across the country. 

About Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF)

The Nigeria Youth Futures Fund is a five (5) year collaborative initiative launches by LEAP Africa in partnership with the MacArthur Foundation, Ford Foundation and the Luminate Group.

The NYFF  programme is designed to advance youth leadership in Nigeria by promoting policy engagement and inclusive funding opportunities that empower young people to actively contribute to the country long term development.

Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) operates through three major pillars:

1. Imaginative Futures Working Group: NYFF was established at national and regional levels to integrate youth driven ideas into Nigeria long term strategic planning processes.

2. Youth Leadership Programme: NYFF Focused on strengthening the capacity of young leaders and youth-led organizations while also providing financial support for initiatives aligned with identified priority themes.

3. Online and Media Interaction: NYFF is dedicated to amplifying youth voices through advocacy campaigns, public debates and digital engagement initiatives.

NYFF Grants 2026 Required Documentation

  • Applicant applying as an Individual must have an active National Identification Number (NIN) or equivalent
  • Applicant applying as an organization must provide a corporate affairs commission (CAC), SCUML certificate, recognition certificates and attach with other supporting documents compiled into a single PDF File.
  • Applicants for both individuals and organizations must have provide referee information.

NYFF Grants Eligibility Requirements 2026

Applicants to eligible for the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF), individuals applicants must:

Eligibility Criteria for Individuals Applicants 

  • Be a Nigerian citizen aged between 18-35 years from the day of application 
  • Active an active National Identification Number (NIN Number)
  • Demonstrate a track record of impactful work in any of the thematic areas
  • Show experience in youth activism, planning, and project management
  • Exhibit leadership, integrity and community building skills
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking
  • Provide valid identification or institutional affiliation
  • Submit two reputable referees

Eligibility Criteria for Organizational Applicants 

Applicants to eligible for the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF), organizations must:

  • Be formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) while unregistered organizations can apply through a registered partner organization
  • Be youth led and engaged in civic or transformational initiatives
  • Possess a strong track record and positive reputation
  • Provide SCUML certification and other relevant legal documentation
  • Maintain a physical office and corporate bank account
  • Demonstrate strong local presence within the project location
  • Submit sound financial records
  • Provide two credible referees

How to apply NYFF Grants 2026 Programme 

To apply for the NYFF Grants programmes, simply follows the application steps below:

1: Create an Account or Log In to Account 

  • Applicants should visit the official portal via Application portal.
  • Applicants after visiting the portal should click on Apply for new users while existing users should click on Login at the top right corner of the portal.
  • New applicants must create an account using the required fields.
  • Applicant should confirm their email address and proceed to your dashboard.

2: Fill out the Pre Application Screening

  • Applicants should fill the preliminary application questions.
  • Applicants should provide an accurate personal or organizational information.
  • Applicants should ensure all responses are correct before proceeding to the proposal stage which is enable your to proceed for the grant application.

3: Prepare and Submit Your Proposal 

  • Applicants must upload a detailed concept note or proposal for both individual and organization grant.

Applicants proposal must be structured into three mandatory sections:

  • A Background and Project Overview
  • A Monitoring and Evaluation Plan and 
  • A Work Plan and Budget

Step 4: Upload Required Identification Documents

Individual Grant Applicants:

  • Active National Identification Number (NIN)

Organizational Grant Applicants: 

  • Organization should combine the following documents into one single PDF file:
  • CAC Registration Certificate
  • Organizational profile documents
  • SCUML Certificate
  • Evidence of past recognition or funding (once available) 
  • Any other supporting legal documentation.

Step 5: Provide Referee Information

Applicants for both individual and organization must submit details of two reputable referees, including:

  • Referees Full Name
  • Referees Organization and Position
  • Referees Phone Number
  • Referees Valid Email Address

Step 6: Review and Submit

Applicants before submission of application must:

  • Review all entries for accuracy.
  • Confirm and verify that the proposal does not exceed 3,000 words.
  • Ensure all required documents are cleared and properly uploaded.
  • Click Submit once you are confident all information is complete.

  • Applications from Persons with Disabilities (PWD are strongly encouraged.
  • Organizations or individuals who have received NYFF funding more than twice may not receive priority consideration.
  • Application deadline is 31th March, 2026
